Schools, businesses, individuals and community groups gathered at Glasgow City Chambers for the first ever Clean Glasgow Awards, to be recognised for playing their part in keeping the city clean.
And one young man made his mum's night when he was given two awards.
Jonathan McAllister, 17, who organises community clean-ups across the city, took the Individual Award and Overall Winner.
The unemployed teenager, of Knightswood, said: "It's great for Glasgow because the campaign is improving the city.
"Even though I've been rewarded it's not just me that's won, the whole of Glasgow has been recognised tonight."
Mum Sandra, 53, said: "I'm so proud of Jonathan, I just can't get over it. For him to be named Overall Winner has made my night."
The awards were presented by Donna Niven, of the Keep Scotland Beautiful campaign, Glasgow Lord Provost Bob Winter and Evening Times editor Donald Martin.
Community groups Friends of Drumchapel Woodland Group, Killearn Training Centre, Friends of Beardmore Park, Friends of Govan C and Pollokshields Quad all triumphed and Clydesdale Bank took the Business award.
The biggest cheers of the night were for the scores of school children who were recognised, with Lourdes Secondary and St Stephen's Primary winning Best Secondary and Best Primary.
Evening Times editor Donald Martin told the winners: "As Glasgow's evening paper we take tremendous pride in the city. The work you have done is absolutely fantastic.
"We take special delight in highlighting the good work done by schools because it is the future generations that are going to change this city, making it unacceptable to drop litter."
Glasgow Lord Provost Bob Winter thanked the Evening Times for its support in the Clean Glasgow campaign and paid tribute to all the people that had taken part.
He said: "This could not have been done without the support of the community groups and schools here tonight."
